Klaviyo

Create or update a Klaviyo profile for every lead, with the campaign and consent as properties, and add it to a list.

What you need

• A Klaviyo account.
• A private API key that may write profiles and lists.
• In Tafsee Popup: a role that can manage integrations.

1. In Klaviyo

1. In Klaviyo, open Settings > API keys and create a private API key.
2. Copy the key. It starts with pk_.
3. Note the name of the list, or its six-character id.

2. In Tafsee Popup

1. Open Integrations and find Klaviyo. Use the search box or the category tabs.
2. Click Connect.
3. Fill in the form:

• Private API key: the key you copied.
• List: the list's name or id. Leave it empty to create profiles without a list.
• Account name: optional. A name to tell your accounts apart.

4. Click Connect. What you enter is stored encrypted and is used only to deliver your leads.
5. A window asks which campaigns send leads to Klaviyo. Tick them and click Save campaigns.

New campaigns are not added by themselves. Come back here, or add this integration in the campaign's Publish step.

What is sent

• The e-mail address, the first name and the last name.
• Profile properties: tafsee_campaign, tafsee_site, tafsee_consent, tafsee_coupon when a code was given, and the answers to your own form questions.
• With a list set, the profile is added to it.

This tool takes a fixed set of details, so there is nothing to map. The list above is what it receives.

Test it

1. Open a campaign that is connected to this tool, go to its Publish step and click Send test lead.
2. The window shows each tool and whether it took the lead. A test lead is clearly marked, never counts in your numbers and is flagged in the leads list.
3. Look in Klaviyo for the test contact.

What you should see

The card shows Connected and the number of campaigns. New leads carry Delivered in the leads list, and appear in Klaviyo.

If it does not work

• "That key looks too short." Paste the private key, not the public site ID.
• "Klaviyo has no list named …": type the list's name exactly, or use its id.
• The tool did not let us in: the key was deleted or lacks permission. Create a new key and connect again.
• The form has no e-mail field: Klaviyo needs an address.
• No campaign sends leads here yet, so nothing will arrive. Click Choose campaigns.
• A lead is marked Failed: open it to read what the tool answered, fix the cause, then click Send again. See Lead delivery and Send again.
