Google Chat

Post every new lead into a Google Chat space through a space webhook.

What you need

• A Google Chat space in which you may add a webhook.
• In Tafsee Popup: a role that can manage integrations.

1. In Google Chat

1. In the space, open Apps & integrations > Webhooks and click Add webhook.
2. Copy the whole URL.

2. In Tafsee Popup

1. Open Integrations and find Google Chat. Use the search box or the category tabs.
2. Click Connect.
3. Fill in the form:

• Space webhook URL: it starts with https://chat.googleapis.com/v1/spaces/ and carries key= and token=.
• Account name: optional. A name to tell your accounts apart.

4. Click Connect. What you enter is stored encrypted and is used only to deliver your leads.
5. A window asks which campaigns send leads to Google Chat. Tick them and click Save campaigns.

New campaigns are not added by themselves. Come back here, or add this integration in the campaign's Publish step.

What is sent

• A message per lead with: Email, Name, Phone and Company when given, Campaign, Site, Coupon when one was given, Consent (Yes or No) and the Page.
• The message is written in English.

This tool takes a fixed set of details, so there is nothing to map. The list above is what it receives.

Test it

1. On the Google Chat card, click Send test lead. The app says: Test lead delivered. Check that it arrived.
2. Look in Google Chat for the test lead.

What you should see

The card shows Connected and the number of campaigns. New leads carry Delivered in the leads list, and appear in Google Chat.

If it does not work

• "A Google Chat webhook URL starts with https://chat.googleapis.com/v1/spaces/ and carries key= and token=. Copy the whole link." Part of the link was cut off when copying.
• The tool could not find the address: the webhook was removed from the space.
• No campaign sends leads here yet, so nothing will arrive. Click Choose campaigns.
• A lead is marked Failed: open it to read what the tool answered, fix the cause, then click Send again. See Lead delivery and Send again.
