The teaser tab
A teaser is a small tab on the page that opens the popup. Show it before the popup, after the popup is closed, or both, and choose its place and shape.
A teaser is a small tab on the page. Pressing it opens the popup. It gives a visitor who closed your popup a quiet way back to the offer.
Add a teaser
- In Design, click Add view in the strip of pages and choose Teaser (small tab).
- Type the words of the tab on the popup, for example "Still want your gift? Tap to open".
- With the teaser selected, click Teaser settings.
When it shows
- Show before the popup: The tab shows first, at the moment the popup would have opened, and the popup opens when a visitor presses it. Closed once, the tab stays away for the rest of the visit.
- Show after the popup is closed: A visitor who closes the popup without signing up can open it again from the tab.
You can switch on both. With both switched off, this teaser never shows.
"Before the popup" applies to campaigns that take the screen. A bar or an inline campaign opens by itself as before.
Place and shape
- Place on the screen: Top left, Top right, Left side, Right side, Bottom left or Bottom right. Left on the picture is left on the visitor’s screen.
- Shape: Pill, Ribbon or Circle. A circle has room for two or three short words.
What you should see
The panel sums up your choice in one line, for example Shows before the popup and after it is closed. In the preview, close the popup: the tab appears where you placed it.
If it does not work
- The teaser never shows: both switches are off.
- It does not show before a bar or an inline campaign: that is by design. Those open by themselves.
- A visitor closed the tab and it is gone: closed once, the tab stays away for the rest of the visit.
