Surveys and feedback

A survey popup that asks one question and gets an answer

One tap on the page where the answer is still fresh, not a ten-question form in an email nobody opens.

A survey popup puts one short question in front of a visitor while they are still on your site: how likely are you to recommend us, how was your order, what stopped you buying today. Tafsee Popup has a survey block with three answer styles (tap-to-answer buttons, five stars and a 0 to 10 scale) and ready templates for NPS, exit surveys and order ratings in English and Arabic. Every answer is saved, and you can export the lot as CSV.

Tafsee Popup

What you get

  • Three ways to answer

Buttons with your own choices, a five-star rating, or a 0 to 10 scale for NPS. The visitor answers with one tap.

  • Ready survey templates

'One-question NPS', 'Exit survey', 'Order rating' and 'Arabic NPS', plus a quick survey written for different kinds of store.

  • No email needed to answer

Without a form, the tap itself sends the answer and the thank-you page appears. Add a form only when you want to know who answered.

  • Answers saved and exportable

Each answer is saved on a lead under its custom fields, named after the question, with the page, device and country it came from.

  • Ask on the right page

Show the order rating on the thank-you page by URL, the exit survey on exit intent, and the NPS question to returning visitors or past customers.

  • Arabic surveys, right-to-left

The Arabic NPS and order rating templates are written and laid out for Arabic readers, not translated from an English layout.

Three survey popups worth running

  • The NPS popup. 'How likely are you to recommend us to a friend?' on a 0 to 10 scale. Show it to people who know you: returning visitors, or customers on the account or order pages. A first-time visitor has nothing to base an answer on.
  • The feedback popup after an order. A five-star 'How was your order today?' on the confirmation page. The 'Order rating' template is written in Arabic for exactly this.
  • The exit survey. 'Before you go, what were you after?' with four or five answers such as price, delivery cost, could not find my size, just browsing. Shown on exit intent, it tells you why people leave in their own words, which is cheaper than guessing.

The exit survey template ends with a small thank-you code. That is optional. Paying for answers can colour them, so many stores keep the thank-you to a sentence.

Where survey answers are stored

Each answer is saved in Tafsee as a lead. Open one and you see the answer under its custom fields, next to the campaign, the page, the device and the country. The leads list exports to CSV with the columns you choose, so you can count the answers in a spreadsheet.

  • Survey with no form: the answer is saved without an email address. You learn what people think, not who they are.
  • Survey with a form: the answer is saved on the same lead as the email or phone number, and it travels with the lead to the tools you connect. Klaviyo, for example, receives the answers to your own questions as profile properties.

Two limits to know. Email tools need an email address, so anonymous answers stay in Tafsee, your sheet or your webhook. And Tafsee Popup stores the raw 0 to 10 answers; it does not calculate the NPS score for you. Export the answers and work it out as the share of 9s and 10s minus the share of 0 to 6.

Writing a customer feedback question people answer

  • Ask one thing. 'How was delivery and packaging?' is two questions and gets a muddy answer.
  • Keep choices to five or fewer and make them cover the likely cases, with 'Something else' as the last one.
  • Say what happens to the answer. 'Your rating goes straight to the kitchen team' gives people a reason to tap.
  • Use a small format. A slide-in in the corner suits a survey better than a popup over the whole page, because the visitor did not come to answer questions.
  • Do not ask everyone, every time. Set the frequency so a visitor who has answered is not asked again, and one who closed it gets a rest.

If you want the reason behind a score, add a form with a long text field below the question and make it optional. For anything longer than a couple of questions, a popup is the wrong place: link a button to a full survey page.

Question and field types you can use

The survey block holds one question and takes its answer in one tap. It comes in three styles: buttons with choices you write, five stars, and a 0 to 10 scale.

Around it you can add a form with the usual field types: text, long text, email, phone, dropdown, checkbox, consent box and hidden field. A dropdown is a good way to ask a second, structured question; a long text field collects a comment.

For a short guided set of questions that ends in a recommendation, use the quiz instead. It asks two to four questions and shows a result, and its answers are saved on the lead the same way. It is described with the other games on the scratch card and games page.

To be plain about the limits: there is no branching logic, no multi-page questionnaire and no built-in charts of the answers. Tafsee Popup is the right tool for one well-placed question, not for a research study.

Set up a feedback popup

  1. Design — pick a survey template, write your question, choose buttons, stars or the scale, and write a thank-you line.
  2. Show when — choose the page and the moment: the order confirmation page by URL, exit intent on the cart, or returning visitors after some time on site.
  3. Publish — go live, then read the answers in the leads list or export them.

The survey runs from the same script as your other Tafsee campaigns, so there is nothing new to install. If you have no campaigns yet, the lead generation page covers the first setup.

Frequently asked questions

It is a small popup or slide-in that asks website visitors a short question, such as a rating, an NPS score or a reason for leaving, and records the answer.

No. It collects the 0 to 10 answers and saves them. Export the answers as CSV and calculate the score yourself: the percentage who answered 9 or 10, minus the percentage who answered 0 to 6.

Yes. With no form on the popup, tapping an answer sends it at once and shows the thank-you page. The answer is saved without contact details.

From the leads list, filter by the survey campaign and export a CSV with the columns you choose. Answers also reach the tools connected to the campaign, such as a webhook.

The survey block asks one question. You can add a form with a dropdown or a long text field for a follow-up, or use the quiz for two to four questions. For a longer questionnaire, link a button to a dedicated survey page.

Yes. 'Arabic NPS' and 'Order rating' are Arabic, right-to-left templates, and any survey can be switched to Arabic text and direction in the editor.
