Saudi National Day offers that shoppers find on your store
Shoppers search for the offers. Make yours the first thing they see when they land.
Saudi National Day offers are among the most searched retail terms in the Kingdom every September, and Founding Day in February now brings a second wave. Shoppers arrive already looking for a deal, so the job on your store is simple: show the offer at once, make the end date clear, and collect contacts for next time. Tafsee Popup does this with a popup, an announcement bar, a countdown and a prize wheel, in Arabic and right-to-left.

Three national occasions and when to prepare
Unlike Ramadan and Eid, these dates are fixed in the Gregorian calendar, so you can plan them a year ahead.
- Saudi National Day, 23 September. The largest of the three for retail. Many stores run offers for several days around it.
- Saudi Founding Day, 22 February. A newer occasion with a heritage theme. Shoppers now search for Founding Day offers too.
- UAE National Day (Eid Al Etihad), 2 December. Usually a long weekend, and it falls just after the White Friday season.
Start two to three weeks before each date. That gives you time to collect early signups and to test the campaign on a phone. If you also run White Friday, decide in advance when one campaign ends and the next begins, so two offers never compete on the same page.
A Saudi National Day campaign with a popup, bar, countdown and wheel
Four pieces cover the whole campaign. You do not need all of them; a bar and one popup are enough for a small store.
- Announcement bar. The offer and its dates in one line on every page. See the floating bar page.
- Countdown. Add a countdown timer to the bar or the popup, in fixed date mode, ending when the offer ends.
- Welcome popup. Greets the visitor, states the offer and shows the code. Trigger it after a few seconds or some scrolling, not on arrival.
- Prize wheel or scratch card. For new visitors, in exchange for an email or phone number. See spin-to-win.
Set one date range for all four so they stop together. Tafsee Popup shows the discount code and you create it in your store; the Salla and Zid pages explain the install on those platforms.
Which templates to start from
The gallery has three templates made for the Saudi occasions:
- Saudi National Day offer: a green and white popup with an email field and a discount code.
- Saudi National Day bar: a green bar with a free-delivery message.
- Founding Day offer: a popup in earthy heritage tones with a discount code.
The sample text is in English. Rewrite it in Arabic in the editor and switch the layout to right-to-left; the sample offer, dates and code are placeholders, so replace them with your own.
There are also National Day templates for the UAE:
- UAE National Day: an Arabic popup in the flag colours with a discount code.
- National Day bar: an English bar with a free-delivery message.
- UAE National Day wheel and UAE National Day scratch card: Arabic games with sample prizes.
Do not publish UAE wording on a Saudi store, or the other way round. For a wheel or scratch card on Saudi National Day, start from a general game template in the template gallery and change the colours to green and white.
Saudi National Day marketing ideas
Shoppers see hundreds of National Day offers in one week. A specific, easy-to-read offer does better than a vague "big discounts" line.
- A number tied to the occasion. Many stores use the anniversary year as the discount or the price point. Check the year before you print it.
- Free shipping across the Kingdom for the campaign days, shown in a free shipping bar.
- A limited collection or bundle made for the occasion. Founding Day suits heritage products, traditional dress, coffee, dates and oud.
- A gift with orders above a set value.
- A wheel with a few honest prizes: a small discount for most players, free shipping for some, one larger prize.
- A WhatsApp or email list for next time. A WhatsApp popup collects numbers from shoppers who prefer it.
Keep the greeting first and the offer second. "Happy National Day" followed by one clear line reads better than urgency stacked on urgency. More Salla discount code ideas are on the blog.
Things to check before you publish
National occasions carry rules that an ordinary sale does not. Saudi Arabia has regulations on running discount promotions and on the commercial use of the flag, the national emblem and images of leaders. The requirements change, so read the current guidance from the Ministry of Commerce before you design the campaign. Tafsee Popup displays what you build; compliance with local rules is your responsibility.
- Design: colours and the occasion's official visual identity, where its usage terms allow it, are a safer choice than placing the flag on a discount banner.
- Copy: write the Arabic first. A translated greeting is easy to spot.
- Honesty: if the countdown says the offer ends on the 25th, end it on the 25th.
- Mobile: most of your visitors are on a phone. Check the popup there before anything else. The Arabic RTL design checklist lists the common mistakes.
UAE National Day (Eid Al Etihad) on 2 December
For stores in the UAE the work is shorter, because the templates exist. The UAE National Day popup, the National Day bar, the UAE National Day wheel and the UAE National Day scratch card are ready to brand. Change the sample offer, dates and codes to your own before publishing.
If you sell in both countries, build one campaign for each and use the Country rule so Saudi visitors see the Saudi offer and UAE visitors see theirs. The date falls right after White Friday, so schedule the handover between the two campaigns in advance.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. The gallery has a Saudi National Day offer popup, a Saudi National Day bar and a Founding Day offer popup. Their sample text is in English, so rewrite it in Arabic in the editor and replace the sample offer and code with your own.
Saudi National Day is on 23 September and Founding Day is on 22 February each year. UAE National Day (Eid Al Etihad) is on 2 December.
Two to three weeks before the date is a practical window for an early-signup popup. Show the live offer when your prices change, and schedule the end date at the same time.
No. You create the code in your store, such as Salla or Zid, and Tafsee Popup shows it. You can show one code to everyone, a unique code per visitor, or codes from a list you upload.
Yes. You paste one script into your store once, and the app has step-by-step guides for Salla and Zid. After that, every campaign is published from Tafsee without touching the store again.
The editor lets you upload any image, but Saudi Arabia regulates commercial use of the flag and national emblem. Check the current Ministry of Commerce guidance first. Using the colours without the flag is the cautious option.
